Marq Wild & Worked Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon
The MARQ Wines 'Wild & Worked' Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is pale lemon green in colour, with a lifted and attractive aroma of gooseberry and quince with some gun smoke and cut grass characters. Its palate is rich and textural with flavours of ripe gooseberry, pear, preserved lemon and pastry. The wine has refreshing zesty acidity that is fine and chalky. The finish is long with a tightly focused mineral thread.
Highgate Sauvignon Blanc
The Marlborough region on New Zealand’s South Island is the custodian of one of the world’s most recognised wine brands – Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Highgate Sauvignon Blanc is a typical example of what the Marlborough region does well. Expert winemakers have made the most of the natural advantages of the climate and the vineyards, with their sandy soils over slate shingles, to produce a wine that is aromatic, herbaceous and has good acidity.
The Highgate 'Marlborough' Sauvignon Blanc is a great example of a good Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. It has a pale straw colour with yellow tinges. It has lovely tropical fruit characteristics, with aromas of citrus blossom and fresh peas with a hint of passionfruit. Refreshing and flavoursome on the palate with lifted citrus, driven acidity and an intriguing mineral note. Well balanced with great length and purity on the finish.
Grand Reserve Bergerac Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon
Fresh lemony flavours combined with honeysuckle softness. This well-balanced, crisp and aromatic dry white is a classic combination with delicate white fish, particularly sea bass and fresh salmon.
Bellbrae Southside Sauvignon Blanc
Made from 100% estate grown fruit and then barrel fermented using two-year-old French barriques, this wine has great weight and texture that is coupled with the classic aromas and flavours that so typify Sauvignon Blanc. Think lemon sherbet, kiwi fruit and Granny Smith apples, and you have an impression of the flavour and aroma spectrum of this wine. The barrel ageing has added another layer of complexity, as it has imparted a creamy texture from the lees stirring that will enhance its marriage with most foods. Drinking well now, it will reward careful cellaring for 3-5 years.
SC Pannell Sauvignon Blanc
This wine is full of the regional and varietal characters of Sauvignon Blanc. Grapefruit, guava, passionfruit, green pea and fresh cut herbs are all here. This is a wine with a very fragrant, complex and aromatic profile.
Accompanying the cooler green spectrum of flavours is a mouth-filling more textural style of Sauvignon Blanc. The palate is balanced, flavoursome and a dry, with a persistent finish and beautiful crisp natural acidity.
Te Whare Ra Sauvignon Blanc
Pristine and delightful, the fragrant bouquet of this Sauvignon Blanc shows lifted aromas of stone fruit, feijoa and dill, leading to a concentrated and textured palate that's refreshing and lingering. A beautifully expressed sauvignon offering plenty of appealing flavours. 6% of the juice was fermented in mature barrels, which added extra dimension and layer without taking away the varietal purity.
Enjoy :)
